Distinctively Christian vision and values shape the culture of who we are and form the basis of the school’s behaviour and relationships procedures. Children are taught about the Christian background to these values through class sessions and whole school collective worship.

Our worship has 3 underlying principles:

• It is inclusive and contributes to the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of all children
• It is invitational and respects the dignity of all participants
• It is inspiring, fun and combines a range of experiences with children at the center of its delivery

We use a range of resources to support our worship but the two main ones are:-

1.Big Start Assemblies 

This makes our daily time together fun and engaging. It is packed full of resources like videos, animations, songs, pictures and backing tracks, making it simple to engage with our children and it is always interactive. The program is values based and feeds directly into our 4 values, teaching us about what the bible says. Our time together always ends with a question for reflection, giving children time to think and develop their own thoughts, beliefs and spirituality.

2. First News

Is a resource we use with the intention to unlock our children’s minds and unleash their potential by fuelling curiosity, inspiring debate, and supporting their critical thinking by providing a balanced and truthful view of the world, carefully and sensitively explaining context and background. First News gives children the knowledge to help them to form opinions and express themselves confidently on current affairs topics and the world in which they are living and we make the connections to where each topic would or would not fit within our values.

We have strong connections with our church St Andrews and we love to invite church community to share significant moments here with us.
