Project 3 - Malvern Now and in the Iron Age

As Geographers, we will dive into a fieldwork to observe, measure, record and present the human and physical features in our local. We will use a range of maps to locate countries and describe features studied, use eight points of a compass, 4 and 6-figure grid references, symbols/key. As Historians, we will study the significance of our direct locality answering the question 'What does our locality tell us about the Iron Age?' Using the fort on British Camp, constructed in the 2nd Century we will answer questions about human society here in Malvern has changed. Inspired by our historical learning and our English text, we will develop sculpting techniques to build an Iron man and investigate distinctive designs found in celtic art to develop our drawing skills.
