Malvern Wells is a Voluntary Aided Church of England primary school, proudly rooted in the teachings and values of the Christian faith. As part of our commitment to providing a well-rounded education, we undergo regular inspections by the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) team, in addition to our Ofsted assessments.
The SIAMS inspection framework evaluates how effectively the school, through its distinctive Christian vision, enables all children to flourish. This inspection focuses on the school's religious education, collective worship, and the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of our pupils.
At Malvern Wells, we are pleased to share that our most recent SIAMS inspection resulted in a "Good" rating. The inspectors recognised the strength of our theologically-rooted Christian vision, which is centred on the belief that every child is unconditionally loved by God and equipped to be the "BRIGHTEST version of themselves."
Our vision, "Let YOUR Light Shine," guides our approach to education, fostering an environment where children feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and grow in the safety of God's forgiveness. This vision is woven throughout our curriculum, policies, and daily life at the school, enabling our pupils to develop their unique talents and prepare for the bright futures that lie ahead.
As a Voluntary Aided school, we enjoy a close partnership with the Church of England, which enhances our ability to live out our Christian vision and serve our local community. Our strong relationships with the Diocese of Worcester and the local church congregations (Chase Team) provide valuable support and guidance, ensuring that we remain true to our foundation as a Church school.
At Malvern Wells, we are committed to meeting the diverse needs of all our pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We believe that every child is a unique individual, created in the image of God, and deserving of the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our SEND provision, aligned with the four main areas of the Code of Practice, is a whole-school responsibility, with all teachers and key workers playing a vital role in supporting our children.
As we move forward, Malvern Wells remains dedicated to providing an exceptional, Christ-centred education that enables every child to flourish. We look forward to our next SIAMS inspection, confident that our theologically-rooted vision and commitment to our community will continue to guide us on our journey of growth and improvement.
